With warm weather right around the corner, I’ve seen the terms “beach body” and “summer body” popping up on social media almost daily, but what do they mean?
Most people see the term “beach body” and automatically think thin, fit, and muscular, and how can you blame them when you can stand in any grocery aisle these days and see at least half a dozen magazine covers all telling you how to achieve the perfect beach body in just 4-6 weeks?
For me, having a “beach body” means being comfortable in my own skin. Being confident to rock a bathing suit and expose a little skin that has been covered up all winter. It means wearing what I feel comfortable in without caring what others think.
It doesn’t mean having a six pack.
It doesn’t mean having a trimmed or toned waist.
It doesn’t mean being thin or fit or having a “hard” body.
Being “beach body ready” is 100% a state of mind. It’s about being happy with who you are, where you are. If you aren’t happy with who you are or where you are, YOU have the power to make a change and break free from the media’s definition of “beach body.” And if you need a little help in getting there, I’m here for you!
